The OnePlus Nord Watch is packaged in a small square box. You’ll find a couple sleeves to take off the package before accessing the actual packaging. While the OnePlus Logo appears on the outermost black sleeve only, the details of the product are printed on its second sleeve. The packaging is pretty compact and it feels like you’re unboxing a flagship product. Inside the box, you’ll find the smartwatch, a user guide, a magnetic clip charger, one brand sticker, and the red cable club welcome card. There are two colour options for the smartwatch: Midnight Black and Deep Blue. This review was done with the former.
This rectangular watch has both a zinc frame and its glass front. Flip it around and you’ll notice a matte finish at the bottom. On the right side, you’ll find a physical button which acts as a trigger to turn the watch on. At the base of the watch, you’ll find the health sensor and the charging point. You can easily change the silicon straps.

The watch’s 1.78 inch AMOLED display is one of its most distinctive features. Of course, there are ample bezels around the display, but it doesn’t take away from the overall look of the display at all. It also has a 60Hz refresh rate and 500 nit peak brightness, which are both amazing. It is easily legible in direct sunlight. We were surprised at the smoothness of touch responses. This is a category-defining feature.
We were initially apprehensive about the display’s robustness because of its curved edges. But after using it for a few weeks, the watch seems capable of taking some damage, and you don’t need to worry about bumping it against any objects while working out. With an IP68 rating, you don’t have to worry about wearing the watch in the rain or during sweaty workouts but it is not meant to be worn during swimming.
Performance review of OnePlus Nord Watch
The OnePlus Nord Watch runs a proprietary OS, similar to the OnePlus’ flagship smartwatch, and offers an internal memory of 256 MB. It is extremely easy to use and clean. You can access settings and adjust brightness by simply swiping to the right. There’s also an option to find your phone, where your smartwatch rings your phone and makes it easier for you to locate it.
You can access the following tracking functions by tapping on the sides of your home screen: an activity monitor, heart rate monitors, stress monitors, SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracker, and heartbeat monitor. You can access your notifications by tapping the bottom of display. The Nord Watch does not allow you to take calls, however you can choose to hang up on any calls. It is possible to read and reply to messages, but you cannot delete them. You can also press the power button to return to the app drawer. Here you can view all functions.
The N Health app is required to pair the Nord Watch with your smartphone. Pairing the watch with your smartphone is easy once you’ve created an account. You just need to scan the QR code on your watch with the N health app. For the watch to work fully, certain permissions will be required on your smartphone once it is paired. If you’re thinking about gifting the watch to an elderly relative who isn’t tech-savvy, you may have to carry out the initial set-up for them.
The OnePlus Nord Watch has excellent fitness tracking for a smartwatch of this price. The OnePlus Nord Watch has all of the basic functions, such as Activity tracking, heart rate monitoring SpO2 monitoring Stress monitoring, Sleep monitoring, and Heart Rate monitoring.
Nord Watch allows you to keep track of up to 105 exercise routines. They can be used for running, walking, climbing, biking, as well as outdoor sports such cricket, badminton, badminton, and more. You can even take dance lessons with the Nord Watch. You can track many dance styles with the watch. Only running and walking can be tracked automatically
The Nord Watch was used mainly to monitor running and cycling. It performed well.
However, the steps counter and calorie measurement are slightly out of date by about 5-10%. This is to be expected from smartwatches this affordable. Sometimes the watch tends to detect physical movement when there isn’t any, like when you’re sitting in a moving vehicle. This is something you need to pay attention to and interpret the data appropriately. Your smartphone will provide the GPS data for your watch, but it does not have any built-in GPS.
When compared with medical-grade equipment the SpO2 and heart rate monitors gave accurate results. The sleep tracker works smoothly but doesn’t give any data for REM sleep. You only get a breakdown between light, deep, and awake sleep. We expect OnePlus to fix this in a future version. The functions that were essential were well executed and easy to find. This watch also features a Menstrual Cycle monitor for women.
Another aspect we loved was the battery life. When connected to a smartphone, the Nord Watch’s 230mAh battery can provide a full week of use. The smartwatch lasted for a whole week even with high-usage and regular exercise tracking. The Nord Watch is able to last for up 30 days when it’s fully charged. You can charge your Nord Watch with the included magnetic clip charger in under two hours.
