Google began informing YouTube Premium subscribers it will increase the subscription cost as early as next month.
The email was shared by 9to5Google. Android A subscriber can change the price of YouTube Premium Family plan by $5, going from $17.99 – $22.99
According to your billing cycle, the price rise will be effective “on or shortly after” November 21st 2022. For new subscribers, the increase will take effect immediately. This means that you’ll need to pay more if your family plans are signed up. Subscribers from Canada, Turkey, Turkey, and Argentina are also affected by new pricing.
The individual plan will be unaffected by the increase.
The email states that YouTube Premium was created to give you an uninterrupted YouTube experience. This allows you to get in touch with the creators and artists you like. “To continue delivering great service and features, we will be increasing your Premium family plan price from $17.99/month to $22.99/month.”
YouTube Premium has seen a price rise for the first time in more than four years, since YouTube Red switched to the YouTube Red brand. YouTube Premium is always available for cancellation if you find the cost too high. Navigate to YouTube app account menu in the upper right corner. Click “Purchases & Memberships” Click on “Deactivate” to locate your subscription. There are two options: cancel your subscription, or you can pause it.
