Modernity It has completely destroyed my brain. It’s a constant battle for stimulation. Wednesday To my basket. Yes, I do. You can help.

You are not. It is quite The adult version of the iPad child. I am able to use my phone in public, but not while talking with others. My eyes and skull have become irritable due to my addiction to my smartphone and the job I do writing on my computer screen. The aforementioned habits may be responsible for my eye fatigue and constant headaches. The headaches can sometimes be so severe that they feel like lightning bolts. My vision can blur for as long as 20 minutes, sometimes even longer than that before I feel the pain. These ocular migraines began before I had a smartphone.

My life was going to be filled with pain and discomfort. I believed I had made the wrong choices. Therabody smart goggles saved me. The company’s Theraguns are the highly-priced and powerful massage guns. When I heard about these goggles, I wasn’t sure what to think—they could either be great or an overpriced gimmick, but my throbbing brain needed a solution. The warm, vibrating glasses turned out to be the best. They are my favorite.

These smart glasses combine massage, heat and vibrations to reduce headache pain and strain. The goggles are a bit like VR headsets. They feel almost as if I am teleporting from one place to the next. They feel great and are not bothersome. You can adjust the strap to make it tighter or looser. It’s comfortable enough to use around the eyes and easy to clean. It should be used on clean skin. However, I have found that it is sometimes necessary to apply it during a complete-makeup session.

The Bluetooth-enabled Bluetooth goggles connect to Therabody (available for iOS and Android) AndroidYou can also adjust the controls and time between five and 30 minutes. The device also has small buttons located on its top. Although I enjoy the ability to turn off my phone’s notifications, adjustments can be made on the app much more easily. The vibrations, heat and massager can be turned off. Although it does provide pain relief, it doesn’t cause discomfort. The contracting and releasing of the massager is frequent enough to not bother. Although it took my husband some time to accept the sensation, I was able to squeeze my brain a bit harder if that’s what we were being sincere. (I was imagining myself opening up my skull à la Dr. Finkelstein from Christmas Nightmare.)
