Tronian Milatron Review Rating
Summary
Tronian Milatron works great for me. The screw-on cap I use is a huge plus over my XMax V3 Pro.
The pros
- Overall design is excellent with screw-on mouthpiece
- Wide bowl
- Excellent overall performance
Cons
- Not possible to remove battery
- No accessories available yet
- Too expensive vs XMax V3 Pro
I don’t have extensive experience with dry herb vaporisers, but I have previously reviewed the Zeus Arc GTS Hub, which I quite like, but I ended up using the XMax V3 Pro as my personal choice.
Tronian’s latest product launch, the Tronian Milatron has been marketed to be the most affordable. That’s a big claim to make when the XMax is quite a bit cheaper…
Reddit Vaporents & TVAPE
Just like my previous post, I feel the need to highlight that the Reddit users over at r/vaporents are not too fond of TVAPE with accusations of paid reviews and poor products.
TVAPE was the supplier of this vaporiser, as well Utlillian 2 (a glass bubbler) and this Utlillian 2 vaporiser. free They have provided me with a free review, however they did not suggest that I post a negative review.
The links that I used to get my information aren’t affiliate links, but they do not come from me.

Tronian Milatron vs XMax V3 Pro
The Tronian Milatron was the first thing I saw when I saw it. I instantly thought that it was a clone. It is true that they look very much alike, although there are some differences.
- The Tronian Milatron has a different temperature range of 160°C – 240°C vs 100°C – 220°C.
- Tronian Milatron’s mouthpiece is a magnetic one, while the XMax has a magnet. I find this annoyingly simple to remove. The XMax’s only advantage is its built-in scraping device.
- The XMax V3 Pro’s battery is a 2600 mAh swappable, while the Tronian Milatron has a 2300 mAh. My only issue with the XMax V3 Pro? It’s my sister who is a clutz. Her brother keeps dropping it, and so the battery and back pieces end up getting damaged.
- The Tronian Milatron takes roughly 16 seconds to get to 160°C and just under 40 seconds to get to 240°C. XMax quotes 15 seconds, but when I times it, it took 23 seconds to get to 200°C.
- Tronian Milatron is larger than the average.
- Tronian Milatron has a hybrid heating system which combines conduction and convection. The XMax uses convection alone.
- XMax has an on-demand mode, though I don’t think I have ever used it.
- A wax cup is included with every XMax.
Design / Build
Tronian Milatron has a shorter, thicker design than the XMax. The lid is also screwed on. This is a great design for anyone who plans to carry it in their pocket, or just about anywhere else.
The herb chamber seems to be more spacious than the XMax.
Five presses are required to activate the power button, rather than three or more as XMax requires.
When the computer turns on, the temperature buttons will activate. The screen will display the current, target, and heating times.
The XMax has very few differences, however, the Tronian overall design is my favorite, with the larger chamber and screw-on lid.
Used
Tronian Milatron’s overall experience is similar to that of XMax V3 Pro. Maybe I don’t know enough to see the difference.
Airflow issues have been a problem with my XMax. The XMax is extremely easy to overpack the herb and reduce airflow. I haven’t experienced the same issue with the Tronian Milatron. It was most likely my inexperience with the XMax. But, the bigger bowl seems to help the airflow.
If the airflow with the XMax is excellent, it comes out of the Tronian smoother. Tronian airflow sounds a bit more restricted than Tronian. Both devices still get a good result.
Even though the Tronian has a smaller battery, I haven’t noticed much difference in the battery life.
As I don’t actually like smoking, I have used the glass bubbler with the XMax and glass mouthpiece in an attempt to reduce the harshness of the hot vape. The Tronian Milatron does not appear to have any accessories at the moment. It works with the Utlillian.
Pricing and Other Options
The Tronian Milatron is priced at £115.99, and you can get a free grinder with it, which they claim to be worth £27.
The XMax V3 Pro is available for as little as £73 (I have bought it twice at this price over the year, so this is the regular price).
The XMAX Starry v3 is just £65
Reddit also recommends the Arizer Go, which is a similar price to the Milatron at £126 and is available via TVAPE.
In general
Tronian Milatron works great for me. The screw-on cap I use is a huge plus over my XMax V3 Pro.
It has been more useful than my XMax V3 Pro and I believe that any buyer would love it.
However, it is marketing as the budget beast, yet the XMax V3 Pro has an RRP of around £100, £15 cheaper. You can also pick it up for as low as £73. You can also get a lot of accessories for the XMax V3 Pro, like a glass mouthpiece and bubbler as well as dosing capsules. You can also replace the 2600 mAh battery. I think the XMax V3 Pro feels more like a Tronian Milatron.
